‘Tis the season!
The Holiday Season is upon us! With that in mind, and also knowing that so many people celebrate for different reasons, (Christmas, Kwanza, Eid ul-Adha, Chanukah) what Holiday traditions do you hold in your own household? Do you like the traditions that you and your family do yearly? Would you change them? I would love to hear about them!

W decorate our ant and uncle’s Christmas tree every year. We also put our Christmas decorations the saturday after thanksgiving. We decorate the whole house with each other while we listen to music. I don’t think I really would want to change them because we have done my ant and uncles tree for about 3 or 4 years and christmas decorations as a family for about 8 or 9 years

We put up 2 trees each year and hang our Christmas lights. We have 2 trees because one is our normal tree and one is our presidential tree. We set our normal tree in our living room, and our presidential tree in our den. Our presidential tree is a tree coverd with White House ornements wich, we get from my uncle who works on Air Force One, each year. We put our lights over our door and put up special swags my mom made over the outsides of our windows. I would not like to change our traditions because there fun and we’re all together to do them.

We have tons of triditions at my house. First we wait on the staires on christmas morning, untill are dad gets the camra and the room is ready. Then why the tape is going we walk down the stairs with a grin as big as Alaska.Then we check if Santa ate the coookies and read the most wanted note . But then we get to see what santa brings. We run in the family room like there is no tomarrow. There is usally close to 10 feet of presents on the floor all spread out in the finest order. We usally open our stockings that were hung with care first. Sometimes we eat breakfast befor we open presents or we go striaght to the presents. So, people have many tradition, but its your job to make sure there fallowed

Well, i celebrate Eid-ul-Adha. Actually i went to a party on Tuesday and I wore shiny clothes. It was gold with stars and gems on it it. Everyone at the party was wearing beatiful clothes. Alot of people ask me if I celebrate Christmas, i say a little bit because only sometimes i do. But every year i celebrate Eid-ul-Adha. It is a religous holiday and it is cool to be unique because not many people in the WHBI celebrate Eid-ul-Adha!

My familys traditions is to wear really shiny clothes and to usually celebrate with friends and/or family!

Can you tell I did my research on Muslim Holidays Mahhum? I think it’s VERY cool you celebrate that, it’s all about the traditions we have with our families, it doesn’t matter what the name of the holiday is called!

Even though my family is from Taiwan, we celebrate Christmas like many other families. Every year, my family puts up two artificial evergreens decorated with dazzling lights and ornaments that we have collected over the years. Although you don’t really call this a custom, we love to go out to eat in Albany or where ever we can find good food. I personally just like to wake up on Christmas morning (usually before everyone else) and race downstairs to open some presents, but only some because I want to wait until everyone else wakes up. This is all I can really say about what my family does for Christmas but I’m sure that a lot of the other replies will be more interesting.

My family celebrates Christmas. We understand that Christmas isn’t all about the gifts, it’s about the birth of Jesus. My family and I celebrate Christmas!!!
